Incredibly High CBD Hemp Clones With Low THC

A few years ago, it was slim pickings when it came to finding hemp strains with high CBD and low THC. Today, there are almost too many options to pick from, and it’s creating a whole lot of confusion.

But this article is here to fix that because we are talking about our favorite high CBD low THC hemp strains. Now, we are only picking cannabis strains with very low THC amounts that are impossible to cause a high.

These strains are great for one the go and providing help with your medical condition without you having to worry it’s going to hinder you in some shape, way, or form due to the psychoactive properties of THC.

So there aren’t any 5/1 or even 10/1 CBD to THC marijuana strains on our list. In fact, the majority of the strains we picked will fall under federal laws governing hemp and not marijuana. So let’s not waste anymore time.

Why Choose Hemp Clones Over Seeds?

There is a big reason you want to grow with hemp clones instead of buying seeds when looking for high CBD and low to no THC. This is because a clone will guarantee that you’re growing a plant that will have the same ratio of CBD/THC that is advertised.

A cannabis strain will often have two to three different group of characteristics it can take on  — called phenotypes. When you go with a seed, you have no clue which of the phenotypes your plant will preset. Hemp plants have to be carefully manipulated to have extremely low levels of THC. Often, a high CBD and low THC strain will still have a phenotype that produces much higher levels of THC than its brothers and sisters.

Most CBD products are derived from hemp clones that started off their life as a cutting taken from a mother plant and not a seed so there is little worry about them developing too much THC.

Best High CBD and Low THC Hemp Strains

Charlotte’s Web

You can’t have a best high CBD hemp strains list without including Charlotte’s Web, so let’s start our list off with it. There is a simple reason it’s on so many lists, and that because CW was the first high CBD cannabis strain to gain mass popularity.

This strain was named after Charlotte Figi, and alongside her, they were both featured in CNN’s famous medical marijuana doc.

After seeing how Charlotte’s seizures were only controlled by a CW extract, the doc’s host changed his stance on medical marijuana and now comes out in favor of it. Now, that’s one powerful hemp strain.

Charlotte’s Web clones will typically have around 17% CBD and less than 0.3 THC making it one of the lowest THC strains on our list.

Suver Haze

Bred out of Oregon, Suver haze packs on a lot of weight and fast, and with its lower leaf-to-flower ratio making trimming less work, it’s hard to not love this hemp strain.

Suver Haze has a very distinctive flavor and aroma best described as a mix of cheese, sweet fruits, and black pepper notes.

Suver Haze has a very high CBD content at 21.4% CBD with only 0.4% THC, which is well under the percentage that could cause a high. However, it does not meet the federal requirement of 0.3% or less for it to be legal in all 50 U.S. states.

Casino Cookies

Casino Cookies rivals Charlotte’s Web with its 0.245% THC levels, but it delivers significantly higher CBD levels as 21.8%.

It also has a high terpene count with Caryophyllene, Humulene, and Myrcene making up a significant portion of it.

These terpenes help give Casino Cookies a hoppy, cinnamon, and chamomile aroma and flavor.

CC gets a lot of love for it ability to help with sleep and pain.

Honolulu Haze

Honolulu Haze was created to have some of the highest levels of CBD we have seen so far at 23.9% while delivering only traces of THC.

Pinene, Bisabolol, Myrcene, and Caryophyllene lead the terpene charge and help give Honolulu Haze a mild piney peppery aroma with a flavor tinged in sweet notes.

The effects of HH seem to go one of two ways. There’s a good group of people that love HH for it’s uplifting high-energy “buzz”, while there is another equally large group that likes toking HH before bed.

The one group that can’t be found is people who don’t absolutely love Honolulu Haze.

Lifter

Profound effects is how most people would describe Lifter. That might have to do with it’s slightly higher THC levels at 0.6%.

In truth, while 0.3% or less is the legal standard, most adults would do better with a little more THC to help pull out its analgesic, antiemetic, and anticonvulsant properties.

CBD helps block THC from causing a high, and with Lifter’s 20% CBD, you’ll be more than fine.

Besides Lifter’s profound effects, It’s known for its robust sweet lemony and funky flavor.

Good for clarity, muscle relaxation, arthritis, and migraines.
